So ASUS has brought all aspects of PV tuning to the drawing board and created a one-of-a-kind interface that combines WASD and arrow keyboard controls with a toolbar reminiscent of graphic design programs. GPU Tweak II had a simple voltage and frequency tuner that had been imported into GPU Tweak III, but as more users got used to manually tuning their graphics cards, it became clear that a frequency curve tuning system was needed. A new version of the voltage frequency curve edition However, the most important change, and the one that has required the most development time, has been the revision of one of the main overclocking functions: the VF Tuner. Later, beginners requested help documentation, so GPU Tweak III is released with a set of tutorial videos to understand the main functions of the software. Early in development, feedback from enthusiasts led to the creation of a log viewer for the Monitor so users can cross-reference previous tuning sessions. More languages will be added in the future.īut many user suggestions caused the development team to re-evaluate their plans and focus on the needs of the community. Also, multilingual support was in the original design and now the latest patch is fully translated into German, French, Turkish, Korean and Chinese (both traditional and simplified characters). FPS monitoring graphs and frame time measurements were two of the most requested items on the development list, and they were just revealed with the release version. Some of the most requested features were already in the works. Thanks to feedback that flowed through that site and a temporary beta channel on the official Republic of Gamers Discord, users were able to help developers identify many places to make performance and stability improvements, and even suggest new features. In order to improve transparency and understanding with the community, ASUS created a support mechanism through the GPU Tweak III website for developers to directly provide feedback. In the latest patches, the UI has been further simplified with icon-based navigation tabs on the side, and now also offers additional benefits for select ROG Strix graphics cards, such as toggling input voltage detection and control of external fans connected to FanConnect II headers.īehind the curtain, there were also process-based improvements during that beta period that might be invisible to the casual observer. Instead of splitting functionality between simple and advanced modes, all the most important fan tuning and control options are available on the home screen, so new users and tuning enthusiasts alike can jump right into the action. Upon launching the program, users will be met with immediate changes, as the interface has been completely revamped from the GPU Tweak II era. After an intense year-long beta process, the app has been gradually reworked and improved to increase its core performance and add new features that make it more accessible for beginners and more agile for overclocking veterans. To commemorate this launch, ASUS is hosting a giveaway featuring some of the latest graphics cards, power supplies, and more.ĪSUS has announced the official release of GPU Tweak III, a revised version of the free utility to improve tuning and monitoring of AMD and NVIDIA® graphics cards, including those from the ASUS Dual, TUF Gaming, and ROG Strix gaming lines.
